During the inaugural edition of the Osun state governor’s interactive session with the state’s residents, Governor Ademola Adeleke expressed his disappointment with stakeholders for not wholeheartedly appreciating what he saw as a significant gesture. He recounted the moment he divulged his decision to utilize his security votes for developmental initiatives in the state.
Governor Adeleke revealed that upon assuming office, he was apprised of a considerable sum, ranging from N500 million to N600 million, allocated as his security vault. Unswayed by the prospect of possessing such funds, he promptly declared his intention to channel this money towards crucial developmental projects aimed at benefitting the populace. Despite this announcement, he noticed that the response from the attendees was not as enthusiastic as he had expected.
