Paris Hilton reveals shocking truth about coerced intimate video with ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon
Paris Hilton has recently opened up about her regret regarding the intimate video she made with her ex-boyfriend, Rick Salomon, which was leaked to the public in the early 2000s. In her upcoming book, Paris: The Memoir, which is set to be released on March 14, Hilton revealed that she felt pressured into making the video with Salomon, whom she referred to by his nickname ‘Scum’.
In an excerpt from the book that was published in The Times, Hilton stated that she doesn’t remember much about the night that Salomon wanted to make the videotape, but she felt uncomfortable and weird about it. She claimed that Salomon had often mentioned that he had made similar videos with other women before, but she didn’t want to do it. However, he allegedly threatened her, saying that he could easily find someone else who would be willing to do it. Paris felt as though being dumped by a grown man because she didn’t know how to play “grown-up games” was the worst possible outcome.
According to Hilton, she had consumed alcohol and Quaaludes before the recording, and she was horrified when a 37-second clip of the video began circulating online years later. Paris begged Salomon not to release the full version of the tape, but he refused, insisting that he had the right to sell something that belonged to him.
The revelation of the intimate video caused Hilton to feel as though her life was over and her self-worth had been ruined. Although her family was devastated by the tape, Hilton stated that if she had chosen to sell the tape, she would have owned it, but the decision was taken out of her hands.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine this month, Hilton also opened up about her sexuality. Despite being known as a sex symbol, she revealed that anything sexual terrified her before she met her husband, Carter Reum. Hilton referred to herself as the “kissing bandit” because she only liked making out, and many of her past relationships didn’t work out because of that. Hilton also confessed that she believed she may be asexual.
Currently, Hilton is happily married to Carter Reum, and the couple shares a child. Despite the scandalous past, Hilton has become an advocate for abuse survivors and has used her platform to speak out against coerced intimate content and the exploitation of women.
