Shanquella Robinson Fight Video: A Femicide-Related Arrest Warrant Issued

The death of Shanquella Robinson, a 25-year-old resident of Charlotte and owner of The Exquisite Boutique, while on vacation in Mexico with friends in October 2022 has raised several questions about the circumstances surrounding her death. While her friends initially claimed that she had died due to alcohol poisoning, medical examinations and records raised doubts about this explanation. In November of the same year, a video surfaced online that allegedly showed Robinson being hit multiple times by another woman while naked. Though the video’s authenticity has not been independently verified, Robinson’s mother confirmed that the person in the footage was her daughter.

The case gained national attention, and Robinson’s family held a funeral and launched a fundraiser to cover legal fees and other expenses. Mexican authorities and the FBI confirmed their involvement in the investigation into Robinson’s death, and an arrest warrant has been issued. Attorneys Ben Crump and Sue-Ann Robinson are handling the case.

In March 2023, the attorneys announced that they had identified Daejhanae Jackson as the person in connection with Shanquella Robinson’s death. The lawyers shared documents with the Charlotte Observer, which revealed that the administrator and concierge of the villa where Robinson and her friends stayed recognized Daejhanae as the woman involved in the physical altercation. The incident video was widely circulated, and many outlets claim that the Mexican government issued a warrant to arrest an unnamed American citizen who was a direct aggressor in the video of Robinson being brutally assaulted. However, despite claims that Mexican authorities are collaborating with U.S. officials on the extradition, no arrests have been made.

Robinson’s family has requested that President Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and other diplomats get involved in the investigation of Robinson’s death. The family’s attorneys stated in a letter that the President or the Secretary of State must intervene and ask for the suspect’s extradition or prosecute the case in the US. The letter contained Robinson’s autopsy results, police notes, and a previously undisclosed prosecutor.

The case surrounding the death of Shanquella Robinson has several key events and video footage that shows Robinson being involved in a fight. Her family, legal representatives, and advocates have raised doubts about the initial explanation of her death and are pushing for further investigation and justice.
