Tinubu is not a magician, APC did not promise miracles – Oshiomhole
Former Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, has called on Nigerians to exercise patience and understanding with President Bola Tinubu’s government as they work towards addressing the challenges facing the nation. Speaking in a live interview on Channels Television, Oshiomhole emphasized that Tinubu should not be expected to perform miracles and instantly resolve all of Nigeria’s problems.
During the interview, the Senator representing Edo North acknowledged that while the All Progressives Congress (APC) made promises during their campaign, they were not guarantees of instant solutions to complex issues. He urged the public not to view Tinubu as a magician who could wave a wand and make everything right in a short period.
Oshiomhole reiterated that the APC, including himself, was well aware of the promises made during their campaign, as they were the source of those declarations. However, he emphasized that the party had not given specific timelines for achieving their goals, debunking any misconceptions about quick fixes or overnight solutions.

He further clarified that there were no official documents stating that certain challenges would be resolved within a specific timeframe, such as 48 hours, 14 days, or 21 days. He emphasized that the public should not harbor any illusions about immediate solutions emerging once leaders assume office.
Instead, Oshiomhole stressed the importance of giving the government time to work through the complexities of Nigeria’s problems. He urged Nigerians to offer their support and constructive criticism rather than expecting miracles. The challenges facing the country, he noted, were deeply rooted and required sustained efforts, collaboration, and patience from all citizens.
Oshiomhole appealed for unity and understanding among Nigerians, emphasizing that the path to progress and resolution of national issues required collective efforts and realistic expectations from both the government and the public. He expressed his belief that with time, dedication, and the right strategies, President Bola Tinubu’s administration could make significant strides in addressing the nation’s problems.
