VIDEO: Alligator drags woman to her de..ath in A video while she was walking her dog

A shocking and terrifying incident occurred in Florida, where an 85-year-old woman was attacked and dragged to her death by a 10-foot-long alligator while she was out walking her dog. The incident, which took place on Monday at a lake outside the Spanish Lakes Fairways retirement community in Fort Pierce, was captured on video and has since gone viral.

The video, obtained by Inside Edition, shows Gloria Serge standing with her leashed dog near the lake when the alligator suddenly surfaces nearby and begins approaching her. The woman tries to move away from the reptile, but it moves too quickly, lunging at her and attempting to attack her dog. In a desperate attempt to save her pet, Serge fights back, but unfortunately, the alligator overpowers her, drags her into the water and kills her.

Carol Thomas, a neighbor who witnessed the incident, immediately called 911 and attempted to help Serge. However, the alligator was too strong, and there was little anyone could do to save her. Thomas later told reporters that she used a pole to try and pull Serge to safety, but it was too late. “There’s a woman in the lake! The alligator’s got her!” she said on the call. “I think she’s gone. Oh my God!”

Robert Lilly, an alligator trapper who was called to the scene, said that capturing the predator was a difficult task. “It was definitely a fight,” he said. “We snagged him on the bottom. He never surfaced. He stayed down the whole time. We were able to get a second hook in him and a hard line in him so we could get him up.”

The incident has left the community in shock and has raised concerns about the safety of residents in the area. Alligator attacks are not uncommon in Florida, but they are rare in residential areas. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has since issued a warning to residents, reminding them to remain vigilant when near bodies of water and to keep their pets on a leash.

The death of Gloria Serge has also left her family and friends devastated. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover her funeral expenses. “Gloria Serge was a beautiful person inside and out. She was kind, caring, and always had a smile on her face,” the page reads. “She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.”
